Roads and Footpaths

Indicator Rationale

The usability and safety of local roads and footpaths is important if sustainability objectives are to be reached.  Dangerous roads and/or intersections can contribute to road accidents, whilst footpaths encourage people to walk around their neighbourhoods.  A smooth surfaced footpath is important for wheelchairs and prams and to prevent accidents from people tripping on uneven surfaces.
